The No. 16 Duke men's basketball team is still seeking its first road win after starting 0-2 away with losses at Wake Forest and NC State. Now, Duke will travel to play Boston College this Saturday Jan. 7 at 1 pm ET. Its most recent loss came to NC State this Wednesday, Jan. 4, by a margin of 24-points. The Blue Devils left a lot to be desired in Raleigh and left a lot of fans concerned about the future of the squad.
Now, Duke travels to Chestnut Hill, Mass., as it seeks a regular season sweep of the Boston College Eagles. The Blue Devils won the matchup in Durham 75-59 just over a month ago on Dec. 3; the game was their conference opener.
Since then the Eagles have gone 3-3 as they stand at 8-7 on the season overall, and 2-2 in conference play. Duke is 11-4 overall and 2-2 in conference play. The Eagles notably upset then ranked No. 21 Virginia Tech and are fresh off a win over Notre Dame.
Trips to Chestnut Hill have proved difficult for Duke in the past, still they rarely result in losses. This is a must win for a Duke team that is trying to reestablish itself as a national contender after a rough couple of weeks. Performances from Kyle Filipowski and Jeremy Roach will be crucial for their success; the pair has been off lately and they are the key to getting Duke's offense going again.
