Following a loss to Wake Forest in its first true road game on Dec. 20, the Duke men's basketball team fell three spots to No. 17 in the latest AP Poll. This ties the team's lowest position in the poll so far this season.
Following Miami's victory over Virginia, the Hurricanes rose to No. 14 (from 22) in the poll and UVA fell to No. 13 (from 6). A loss to Boston College ousted Virginia Tech from the top-25. However, the ACC maintained four top-25 teams as North Carolina reentered the poll at No. 25 after defeating Michigan.
Xavier, a team Duke beat on neautral court the day after Black Friday, entered the top-25 for the first time this season at No. 23.
